CINCINNATI, Ohio, 18 May 2011 – Richard Oaks has been named General Manager of The Hurt Company, a subsidiary of RelaDyne, Inc., the equipment reliability management company formed last fall to deliver broad-based lubrication products and services throughout the Midwest and Gulf Coast regions.

At The Hurt Company (Hurt), Oaks will be responsible for the overall operation and management of Hurt, taking the place of Jay Hurt who will now focus on his role as Executive Vice President of Field Reliability Management for RelaDyne, Inc.

“I am excited to have Richard join our team.  He brings with him a tremendous amount of management, operations, and sales experience in the distribution industry.  “With full profit and loss responsibility for the Gulf Coast West operation, we are confident that Richard will drive the new RelaDyne to be a market leader,” says Doug Oehler, Executive Vice President, Distribution, of RelaDyne.

For the past 18 years, Oaks has been involved with the growth and development of the Heating, Air Conditioning and Ventilation division of Ferguson, the largest distributor of plumbing supplies and pipe, valves and fittings in the United States.  At Ferguson, Oaks carried responsibilities involving business development with experience in operations, sales management and Profit and Loss responsibilities.  In 2002, he opened Tallahassee Winair Company, a full-service distributor of HVACR products for residential contractors, commercial contractors and municipalities in the Tallahassee area.

“I am eager to begin the process of growing the business and developing strategies to meet shareholder goals at RelaDyne,” states Oaks.  “I look forward to being a part of a great team there on the Gulf Coast.”

Oaks will be reporting to Glenn Pumpelly, General Manager of the Gulf Coast Region in RelaDyne, and will be based in The Hurt Company’s office in Houston, Texas.  Oaks says he is excited to relocate to Houston, Texas, from Tampa, Florida, and brings with him his wife of 15 years and two daughters.
